#100HappyDays: Escaping a trial
Sustenance for a day at jury duty, June 30, 2014. |
My reaction to being mandated to report for jury duty was not exactly lady like. In fact, my four-letter exclamation(s) caused Mr. T to raise a judgmental eyebrow and suggest that perhaps I should save that kind of language for actually getting assigned to a trial. (I felt like he was trying to jinx me, by the way.)
Luckily, after an entire day hanging out and stewing in it-could-be-me-I’m-so-bored-please-don’t-call-my-name-may-the-odds-be-ever-in-my-favor purgatory, I was not chosen to be a juror. I’m especially grateful as it’s allowed me to hang out with my little sister who’s visiting from New York for the first time since Thanksgiving. Woo!
