V is for victory. And Vitamix.
Out of respect for people like my mom and Mr. T–folks who love Thanksgiving (mom) and/or want one holiday at a time thankyouverymuch (T)–I contain my Christmas crazy until Black Friday. Usually.
Today, however, it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas because I WON THE CHRISTMAS TREE WAGER.
After 12 weeks of healthy eating and exercise, plus 10 days of herculean discipline on a cleanse diet, I met my “thousand ounce goal” today (anyone else watch Gold Rush?). Really, it was 208 ounces, but whatever. I haven’t felt this relieved since defending my dissertation, and I’m only slightly exaggerating.
My prize? Pants that FIT and a pretty red Vitamix. Woot!
Now, it’s back to regular healthy eating and exercise, and seeing if I can turn the house into winter wonderland before T gets home from work this evening. HA.
xoxo,
shawna
